Operation
• Uses technical documents, construction drawings in order to prepare his/her work.
• Cuts and shapes parts made from plates and sections.
o Calculates his/her cuts.
o Traces a plane part contour by making geometric lines using a compass and square.
o Performs drilling, punching and grinding operations manually or using the mechanical machine on plate.
o Forms bends by rolling or hydraulic processes to shape the material as defined on drawings.
o Shears-saws a tube or section using a mechanical machine.
o Prepares parts to be assembled using methods required by the prefabrication file (P.R.E).
o Adjusts a part section respecting specified tolerances.
o Checks dimensions and the geometry of a part.
• Assembles-erects sheet metal elements
o Checks dimensions and the geometry of a part according to construction drawings.
o Positions and adjusts assembly before final assembly.
o Assembles materials by spot welding or screwing.
o Anticipates or corrects mechanical or thermal deformations.
o Assesses and repairs observed defects and reports anomalies to his management.
• Is present during welding operations to guarantee the geometry of parts (heating, shrinkage effect).
• Performs drilling, cutting, deburring, bending and punching activities on machines in support of the workshop.
