The Field Researcher is responsible for the execution of research and audits at designated locations. The primary focus is on gathering high-quality data through outdoor activities.
Qualifications
Highly preferred: Diploma in any field
Acceptable: 7 CSEC passes (must include Math and English)
Experience
One year of working experience is preferred but not required
Skills
Digital literacy is essential
Strong communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to follow complex instructions precisely
Flexibility to work at least one weekend per month
Data Collection
· Conduct surveys at defined locations, events, and public spaces
· Administer structured questionnaires to respondents in person, by phone, or digitally
· Record responses accurately and completely using paper forms and/or mobile devices
· Complete checklists as required
· Conduct basic observations where required
Data Quality & Compliance
· Follow sampling instructions and research protocols closely to ensure representative data collection
· Validate responses and flag inconsistencies or refusals
· Comply with ethical research standards and data protection guidelines
· Ensure confidentiality and anonymity of respondents at all times
· Ensure consent forms are signed and recorded
Field Operations Support
· Assist with recruitment of respondents for focus groups and interviews
· Support moderation sessions (setup, attendance tracking, logistics)
· Meet daily/weekly fieldwork targets and timelines
· Submit completed surveys and field reports on schedule
· Communicate challenges, refusals, or field issues to the Field Coordinator promptly
· Maintain assigned equipment (tablets, forms, ID badges)
