Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Administrator (AR) to join our team in the automotive industry. As a Finance Administrator (AR), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Certificate of at least five (5) CSEC subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, and Principal of Accounts.

  • Pursuing CAT Qualification with completion of FA1, FA2, MA1 & MA2. Similar or higher qualifications would be a plus.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and monitor Accounts Receivable reports and outstanding balances (aging and collection status).

  2. Following up on overdue invoices via email or phone (professional and non-confrontational).

  3. Coordinate with the sales department to resolve billing issues.

  4. Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies.

  5. Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies.

  6. Assisting with bank deposit reconciliations.

  7. Assisting with reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

  8. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and procedures.

  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and documentation.

  10. Support the accounting team in month-end and year-end closing processes.
