The Accounting Clerk is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the gas station and mini mart operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective cash flow management. This role requires strong attention to detail, expertise in retail and fuel accounting, and the ability to lead financial operations efficiently.
Proven experience in accounting, preferably in retail or mini mart operations
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and POS integration
High attention to detail and accuracy
Integrity, discretion, and professional conduct
Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
Familiarity with GRA and NIS regulations in Guyana
Post daily sales, expenses, and supplier invoices into the accounting system
Reconcile POS reports, cash, card, and digital payments daily
Verify supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules
Support inventory reconciliation and monitor stock-related costs
Assist with payroll, ensuring correct calculations and statutory compliance
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, and reports
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, GRA, and NIS requirements
Supervise and guide junior accounting or cashier staff
