Guysons is a long-established engineering, machining, fabrication, and oilfield services company operating at the centre of Guyana’s rapidly expanding oil & gas and industrial sector. As the country continues its transformation into a major global energy producer, we are seeking a high-calibre General Manager to lead and scale our multi-disciplinary operations.

This is a senior, on-the-ground leadership role offering significant operational autonomy, direct Board exposure, and the opportunity to build a best-in-class local content success story.

Candidate Profile/Qualifications

Essential:

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management or equivalent experience

• 8–12+ years in engineering, oil & gas services, or industrial operations

• Computer/Digital literacy

• Demonstrated P&L ownership and turnaround / growth experience

• Strong understanding of HSSE, quality systems, and regulated environments

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO / Board, the General Manager will have full responsibility to oversee daily operations, manage budgets, develop teams and drive both business and profitability growth of Guysons’ Engineering & Oil & Gas Services operations, including:

• Engineering workshop (machining, fabrication, welding, rotating equipment engine rebuilds)

• Oilfield services, logistics, warehousing, and yard operations

• Engineering projects and turnkey site execution

• Procurement, supply chain, and inventory management

• Equipment and space rental operations

You will lead a diverse workforce, embed international HSSE and quality standards, and deliver IOC-level service to oil & gas operators, service companies, and major industrial clients.
