Description

We are a dynamic food group operating over 10 restaurants across multiple malls. With a diverse team ranging from porters to executive chefs, we are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Manager to oversee and strengthen our human resources function. The HR Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth payroll operations, staff engagement, compliance, and workplace culture across all branches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Certification in Human Resources Management or related field.

  • Proven experience managing HR operations for 50+ employees; food service industry experience preferred but not required.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems, compliance, and labor regulations.

  • Tech-savvy, with experience using HR platforms (preferably TechlifyHR, but not required).

  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to balance strategic HR leadership with hands-on daily operations.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll & Attendance Management

    • Reconcile biometric data, overtime, absences, and lateness using TechlifyHR.

    • Ensure accurate payroll closure in compliance with NIS and PAYE regulations.

  • Employee Relations

    • Serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns, issues, and inquiries.

    • Maintain an open-door policy to foster trust, communication, and collaboration.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Lead hiring campaigns, conduct interviews, and oversee onboarding processes.

    • Ensure smooth integration of new staff into the company culture and operations.

  • Performance & Compliance

    • Conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews.

    • Manage compliance of the employee handbook, including food handlers certification, labor law, and health & safety code.

  • Workplace Culture & Engagement

    • Collaborate with the CEO to implement staff engagement initiatives such as birthdays, rewards, benefits, and morale-boosting activities.

    • Promote a cooperative, productive, and inclusive workplace environment.

  • Training & Development

    • Identify training needs and ensure staff are adequately prepared for their roles.

    • Support career development pathways and continuous improvement initiatives.
