The Heavy-Duty Equipment & Generator Technician is responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy-duty equipment and generator systems. The role involves both workshop and field service work, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Sound Secondary Education- 5 subjects minimum
Certificate or Diploma in:
Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanics and/or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Industrial Maintenance or similar field (can be a plus)
Licensing: Valid driver's license with license classes: van, motor tractor, and motor lorry. (would be an asset)
Perform inspection checks for incoming and outgoing equipment and vehicles.
Carry out mechanical field service activities such as troubleshooting, corrective repairs, and overhaul of engines.
Support in resolving technical and operating problems at customer facility/site.
Analyze and make recommendations to solve technical problems.
Prepare Service Notes for all repairs and routine maintenance services on equipment.
Practice proper housekeeping of workspace and equipment.
Assist in loading and offloading of equipment.
Assist with operating lifting equipment and Hiab.
Promote safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and quality improvement.
