Description

Working hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm with the possibility of working 9 hours day/night shifts.

The role requires supporting the safe and efficient handling of goods, terminal and overall operations. The role is very hands-on and safety critical.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Minimum)

  • Prior experience in industrial operations is an asset

  • Strong understanding of safety practices

  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and long-shifts.

  • Willingness to work weekends, and public holidays

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Reliable with strong punctuality and attendance

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

  1. Washing, inspecting, and sorting cylinders.

  2. Pressure testing, leak inspections, and decanting leaking cylinders.

  3. Assisting in gauging and dipping of tanks, tanker discharges, inspections, and maintenance.

  4. Assisting in plant start-up and shut-down activities. 

  5. Maintain depot cleanliness and good housekeeping practice. 

  6. Offloads containers and handles goods in the warehouse to ensure first in first out (FIFO) is maintained.

  7. Pick and pack outgoing orders, ensuring accurate and timely order fulfilment.

  8. Maintain the warehouse in an organized and clean manner, ensuring safe storage of all goods.

  9. Process damaged stock, placing stock in quarantine and repackaging as needed.

  10. Assist in accurately counting stock and record keeping as required.

  11. Assist the driver in safe loading and unloading operations.

  12. Assist with directions and driving navigation.

  13. May be required to assist with delivery paperwork and recording

  14. May also be required to interface with customers, assuring customer satisfaction.

  15. Adhere to the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies.
