Organization
• Participates in defining the resources and means to be implemented to perform the work.
• Makes sure the equipment and tools used are compliant and work properly.
• Ensures the efficient and simple organization of operational documents.
Operation
• Uses the technical documents and isometrics to prepare his/her work.
• Follows the sequencing of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) drawn up by the Workshop Manager.
Piping sector:
• Cuts and shapes piping elements.
Bends the pipe using a rotary bender or hydraulic processes to give it a shape that complies with the
drawings.
Calculates his/her feed rates.
Prepares the parts to be assembled as per the methods specified in the pre-manufacturing file (PRE).
Assembles/mounts the pipes as per the isometrics and the welding book.
Checks the dimensions and geometry of a part.
Assembles the pipes by tack welding or screwing.
Ensures the system's positioning and adjustment before assembly.
Anticipates or rectifies deformations due to a mechanical or thermal cause.
Assesses and repairs a defect discovered and reports anomalies to his/her line management.
• Pre-fabricates pipe lengths in the workshop and tack welds the manufactured elements.
Assembly sector:
• Uses the technical documents, layout plans and P&IDs to prepare his/her work.
• Identifies the components to be assembled: valves, drums, columns, exchanger, separator.
• Procures the equipment and components required from the agency's warehouse.
• Places warning signs and barricades around the work area to make it safe.
• Performs handling operations in compliance with lifting and slinging techniques.
• Assembles/mounts the piping elements:
Checks that the dimensions and geometry of a part comply with the drawings.
Positions and adjusts the assembly before mounting it.
Assesses and repairs defects discovered and reports anomalies to his/her line management.
• Makes sure that the type of joint is compliant with the type of flange.
• Makes sure that the joint surface is clean before tightening.
• Performs the jointing as per the provisions specified in the GTIS reference documents.
• Submits the assemblies to hydraulic leak tests:
Defines a schedule of the tests to be performed: defines the sequence and position of the fitting points.
Uses the monitoring pressure gauge and checks the pressure.
Identifies drain spaces.
Calculates slopes sufficient for liquid flow.
Welding sector:
• Uses the technical documents and drawings to prepare his/her work and identifies the welding processes to be
applied.
• Follows the suitable operating procedure as per the welding book: ARC, TIG or other welding.
• Inspects and validates compliance of the preparation and modifies it if necessary.
• Respects the welding parameters.
• Applies the necessary precautions for using welding filler metals.
• Performs welding tests.
• Performs self-monitoring.
• Detects and anticipates potential deformation risks.
• Takes the appropriate measures to ensure the welding's reliability.
• Reports any problems encountered to his/her line management.
• Adapts to technological advances in the trade and to the needs of the clients and the agency.
Management
• Ensures the management of his/her team members (working hours, follow-up of certification, etc.).
• Undertakes to communicate the best practices and work methods to his/her team (particularly in terms of safety,
etc.).
• Informs his/her line manager of any training need of his/her team members.
• Leads the safety discussions and talks.
Work space upkeep
• Cleans the workshop and stores and the equipment used.
• Reports any defective equipment to be immediately replaced or repaired, to his/her line manager.
Health Safety Environment Quality and Security
• Applies the branch's HSEQ policy and objectives.
• Applies the Group's Safety policy and measures.
• Takes the necessary measures to help minimise risks to Quality, Safety and the Environment.
• Exercises its right to withdraw and its duty to alert in the event of a dangerous situation.
• Applies instructions concerning compliance with HSEQ rules.
• Commits to the SSEQ system.
• Proposes and carries out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.
• Undertakes to comply with all measures in place when travelling.
• Ensures that he/she has read the country's recommendations before travelling to a foreign country.
• Reports any safety or security incidents to his/her superiors.
Involvement
• Undertakes to follow the training necessary to develop his/her skills.
• May be required to train new hires.
