Responsibilities

Organization

• Participates in defining the resources and means to be implemented to perform the work.

• Makes sure the equipment and tools used are compliant and work properly.

• Ensures the efficient and simple organization of operational documents.

Operation

• Uses the technical documents and isometrics to prepare his/her work.

• Follows the sequencing of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) drawn up by the Workshop Manager.

Piping sector:

• Cuts and shapes piping elements.

  • Bends the pipe using a rotary bender or hydraulic processes to give it a shape that complies with the

  • drawings.

  • Calculates his/her feed rates.

  • Prepares the parts to be assembled as per the methods specified in the pre-manufacturing file (PRE).

  • Assembles/mounts the pipes as per the isometrics and the welding book.

  • Checks the dimensions and geometry of a part.

  • Assembles the pipes by tack welding or screwing.

  • Ensures the system's positioning and adjustment before assembly.

  • Anticipates or rectifies deformations due to a mechanical or thermal cause.

  • Assesses and repairs a defect discovered and reports anomalies to his/her line management.

• Pre-fabricates pipe lengths in the workshop and tack welds the manufactured elements.

Assembly sector:

• Uses the technical documents, layout plans and P&IDs to prepare his/her work.

• Identifies the components to be assembled: valves, drums, columns, exchanger, separator.

• Procures the equipment and components required from the agency's warehouse.

• Places warning signs and barricades around the work area to make it safe.

• Performs handling operations in compliance with lifting and slinging techniques.

• Assembles/mounts the piping elements:

  • Checks that the dimensions and geometry of a part comply with the drawings.

  • Positions and adjusts the assembly before mounting it.

  • Assesses and repairs defects discovered and reports anomalies to his/her line management.

• Makes sure that the type of joint is compliant with the type of flange.

• Makes sure that the joint surface is clean before tightening.

• Performs the jointing as per the provisions specified in the GTIS reference documents.

• Submits the assemblies to hydraulic leak tests:

  • Defines a schedule of the tests to be performed: defines the sequence and position of the fitting points.

  • Uses the monitoring pressure gauge and checks the pressure.

  • Identifies drain spaces.

  • Calculates slopes sufficient for liquid flow.

Welding sector:

• Uses the technical documents and drawings to prepare his/her work and identifies the welding processes to be

applied.

• Follows the suitable operating procedure as per the welding book: ARC, TIG or other welding.

• Inspects and validates compliance of the preparation and modifies it if necessary.

• Respects the welding parameters.

• Applies the necessary precautions for using welding filler metals.

• Performs welding tests.

• Performs self-monitoring.

• Detects and anticipates potential deformation risks.

• Takes the appropriate measures to ensure the welding's reliability.

• Reports any problems encountered to his/her line management.

• Adapts to technological advances in the trade and to the needs of the clients and the agency.

Management

• Ensures the management of his/her team members (working hours, follow-up of certification, etc.).

• Undertakes to communicate the best practices and work methods to his/her team (particularly in terms of safety,

etc.).

• Informs his/her line manager of any training need of his/her team members.

• Leads the safety discussions and talks.

Work space upkeep

• Cleans the workshop and stores and the equipment used.

• Reports any defective equipment to be immediately replaced or repaired, to his/her line manager.

Health Safety Environment Quality and Security

• Applies the branch's HSEQ policy and objectives.

• Applies the Group's Safety policy and measures.

• Takes the necessary measures to help minimise risks to Quality, Safety and the Environment.

• Exercises its right to withdraw and its duty to alert in the event of a dangerous situation.

• Applies instructions concerning compliance with HSEQ rules.

• Commits to the SSEQ system.

• Proposes and carries out improvement, corrective and/or preventive actions.

• Undertakes to comply with all measures in place when travelling.

• Ensures that he/she has read the country's recommendations before travelling to a foreign country.

• Reports any safety or security incidents to his/her superiors.

Involvement

• Undertakes to follow the training necessary to develop his/her skills.

• May be required to train new hires.
