Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for providing strategic support and actively prospecting new and existing clients. This role functions as hybrid personnel, supporting both Sales and Support operations.

The BDM will collaborate closely with the Key Account Manager and Account Executive to identify new business opportunities, uncover client needs, provide holistic solutions, and support overall account management.

This position manages all aspects of the client relationship during and after the sale, serving as the primary liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams. The BDM ensures timely and successful delivery of solutions based on customer needs and is expected to consistently enhance the overall customer experience.

The ideal candidate can identify both explicit and implicit customer needs while exceeding client expectations. When needs fall outside the scope of this role, the BDM is responsible for making the appropriate referrals and ensuring effective follow-up with the relevant department.

Additionally, this position must ensure full compliance with all ONE policies and procedures, as well as all applicable regulations.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Sales & Marketing, Economics or related/equivalent field required; or 4+ years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Strong leadership skills

    • Strong creative thinking

    • Proven ability to drive sales

    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time, while paying strict attention to detail

    • Good interpersonal and team building skills

    •  Ability to work independently and as part a team

    •  Experience in business sales is not necessary, but would be an asset

    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when corporate schedule demands

    • Basic knowledge of related regulations, Company policies and procedures, and the Company’s products and services.

    • Demonstrated skills to independently plan and conduct non-routine financial analysis or reporting projects.

    • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.

    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, allowing for managing multiple tasks and prioritize in-time sensitive situations in a fast-paced environment

    • Excellent skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs. Inclusive of being able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms

    • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

    • Exceptional math skills: ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; computing rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.

    • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.

    • Ability to deal with advanced problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized or specialty situations.

    • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.

Responsibilities

  • •     Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships in the Top Tier business portfolio

    •     Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve the department’s goals

    •     Prospect for new clients via sales calls, direct mail, email and networking events; Follow up on leads generated through retail stores, research, promotional events or referral from customers to meet or exceed Sales Targets.

    •     Organize or participate in activities, conferences, information seminars and community events to help promote the company’s business program

    •     Develop and propose effective solutions to fulfill business clients’ needs.

    •     Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit inclusive of Contract renewals.

    •     Manage the sales process & Service delivery- solicitation, pricing, acquisition, sale delivery, and post-sale follow up (handsets & Mobile Activation)

    • Proactively work to improve customer experience by keeping current with the latest developments in industry, identifying best-in-class business processes and practices

    • Network with other Departments within ONE to complete tasks such as pricing proposal, implementation of services, etc.

    •Update and track lead daily using Salesforce CRM tool.

    • Prepare daily & periodic reports on sales performance, trends, operations, account status, etc.

    •     Billing-Consolidate and submit Monthly Invoices, Monthly statement of Account, Monthly Debt report, Monthly Service Report to customers.

    • Debt Management- Provide a payment breakdown and submit the DNP list.

    • Fault escalation- Respond to queries and escalate fault reports.

    • Uphold the standards and rules of the company
