Job Summary: The procurement officer will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and seamless supply of essential materials, consumables and other resources for all business units. Timely delivery with competitive pricing structures will be a focus, moreover this position will encompass all elements of procurement, from planning to execution and predictive purchasing.
General Requirements:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Procurement or Supply Chain Management from a recognized university
Strong analytical mindset
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including suppliers, internal departments, and finance teams.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good communication skills and attention to detail
Computer literate
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Previous knowledge of dealing with procurement software of ERP systems
Details of Responsibilities:
Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various departments to comprehensively understand their unique procurement requirements and offer expert counsel on optimal procurement practices
Supervise, compile and update the procurement payment schedule for both local and international suppliers
Oversee the complete spectrum of procurement processes for local and foreign acquisitions, encompassing requisition processing, selection of the appropriate supplier, purchase order processing and invoice submission
Prior to confirming any orders, diligently review purchase order for precision, correctness, completeness and clarity
Verify critical elements such as product details and specifications for a smoother transaction when processing customer orders
Ensure supplier information is accurately updated in the system
Constant system updates to ensure digital data integrity
