  • 3+ years of experience in repairing heavy machinery.

  • Proficiency in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

Control Panel Operations & Generation Monitoring:

. Operate and monitor generation control panels and ensure power stability.

. Track real-time performance metrics for fuel consumption, voltage, and frequency adjustments.

. Maintain synchronization across all 17 dual-fuel units (Diesel & HFO) in coordination with the control center (GLP)

Coordination of Power Dispatch & Machine Synchronization:

. Activate and deactivate machines from generation bars or grids as required.

. Assist the Shift Supervisor in power balancing and frequency regulation.

Fault Detection & Alarm Management:

. Diagnose and troubleshoot alarm system failures to ensure smooth operations.

. Address both electrical and mechanical faults affecting generation.

Start-Up & Shutdown Operations:

. Execute proper start-up and shutdown procedures for each generating unit.

. Ensure safe transition between Diesel and HFO for optimal fuel utilization.

Incident Reporting & Documentation:

. Record and report operational data to the Shift Supervisor, ensuring accuracy in shift logs.

. Provide detailed incident reports on equipment performance and failure resolutions.

Operational Safety & Emergency Management:

. Implement safety measures in case of electrical faults, alarm system failures, and emergency situations.

. Support mitigation efforts during fuel spills, fire hazards, or power disruptions.

Guard Duty & Equipment Supervision:

. Maintain situational awareness of plant operations and intervene where necessary.

. Assist in supervising the operational integrity of power units to prevent failures.

Load Management & Grid Stability:

. Ensure load balancing across operational units to prevent fluctuations in power output.

. Respond to grid frequency variations and make real-time adjustments to maintain stability.

. Work closely with the control center to comply with dispatch orders and optimize power generation efficiency.

Predictive Monitoring & Diagnostics:

. Utilize SCADA or other monitoring systems to track abnormal trends in generation parameters.

. Identify early signs of equipment wear or system inefficiencies and report potential concerns.

. Proactively recommend adjustments to improve operational efficiency and equipment longevity.

Fuel & Efficiency Optimization:

. Monitor fuel injection systems to ensure correct fuel-air mixture for optimized combustion.

. Assist in adjusting dual-fuel settings to maximize cost-effectiveness while maintaining performance reliability.

Compliance & Regulatory Checks:

. Verify adherence to environmental and emissions standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory limits.

. Document procedural adjustments and system responses required for audit and compliance reporting.

Startup and Ramp-up Coordination:

. Ensure smooth ramp-up sequencing for generation units to prevent excess fuel consumption and mechanical strain.

. Coordinate the transition between different load demands throughout the shift
