M.A.C Retail Manager

The Retail Manager is responsible for driving retail sales while delivering 5 Star Customer Service. This involves managing and developing the talent and capabilities of their team to achieve optimal performance. The Retail Manager is also required to deliver retail operational excellence to provide an efficient and effective work environment. The Retail Manager is required to spend the majority of their time on the floor, coaching and leading by example to ensure the M·A·C Experience is delivered to each customer. Strong communication and exceptional follow through are essential to delivering excellence in execution.


·       Business or Marketing Diploma or Degree an asset.

·       Previous experience in Sales/Goal driven environment with supervisory experience is desirable

·       Previous experience in cosmetic field preferred.

·       Specialty store management background an asset.

·       Experience in leading and supervising people required

·       Excellent communication, leadership, organizational and time management skills.

·       Comfortable managing and supervising people.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including holidays and weekends.


Sales Performance:

·       Deliver sales targets.

·       Respond to business trends and external factors to recommend changes needed to capitalize on opportunities and maximize sales.

5 Star Customer Service:

·       Strives for excellence in all customer & team interactions.

·       Delivers exceptional internal and external customer service.

·       Builds and maintains strong relationships.

 Talent Development:

·       Motivate your team to achieve sales and performance targets by providing clear and specific frameworks, including individual performance development goals, regular performance reviews and regular team meetings.

·       Training and coaching new and existing employees.

·       Demonstrates learning agility through compliance with store/classroom operations

·       Develops talent and capabilities takes responsibility for own development as well the team.

·       Seek out opportunities to improve and up-skill self and team through feedback & coaching.

 Retail Operations Excellence:

·       Provide and complete all Retail Operations Reports on time and accurately.

·       Ability to interpret/analyze weekly/monthly financial reports.

·       Adhere to visual merchandising, and good counter practice standards and guidelines.

·       Maintain and monitor stock levels to maximize sales opportunities, maximize stock availability and change to meet customer demand.
