An Accounting Clerk is a professional who is responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports, and recording a wide range of transactions


  1. 5 CXC Subjects or more

  2. Level 1 CAT

  3. 2-3 Years Experience in Similar Field

  4. Proven accounting experience

  5. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

  6. Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software preferably Quickbooks/Peachtree

  7. Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks

  8. Data entry and word processing skills

  9. Well organized


  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements

  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner

  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database

  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel

  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

  • Constantly update job knowledge
