Description

The HVAC Lead Technician is responsible for the maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. Must have a strong understanding of HVAC principles and excellent troubleshooting skills.

Requirements

  • EPA Section 608 Certification-Universal type preferred

  • Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship (certificate or associate degree) preferably Level 2 certification

  • At least 3-5 years working with HVAC systems.

  • Must have manufacturer-specific training for: Mitsubishi City Multi, Trane VRF, Libert Precision Cooling Systems

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.

  • Willingness to work overtime and on-call as needed

Responsibilities

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts.

  • Oversee and monitor subcontractors working on site within HVAC discipline

  • Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, including identifying and replacing faulty components.

  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex HVAC problems, using diagnostic tools and knowledge of system operations

  • Subcontractors:  Oversee and monitor Subcontractors working on site within the HVAC discipline

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed, including interfacing with Nuvolo or the Nuvolo planner

  • Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures while working on HVAC systems
