The Accounts Supervisor will be required to assist with all accounting activities of both financial and management accounting. He/she is responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets and reviews, monitor internal control and daily transaction, and taxation.
Education and Experience:
Five (5) subjects CXC inclusive of Mathematics and English Language.
Certified Accounting Technician.
Proficient in Accounting and Payroll software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Two years similar experience would be an asset.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Accounting standard/Act/legislation, applicable to Guyana.
Knowledge of VAT legislation and application process.
Ability to prepare and evaluate financial positions.
Supervisory skills.
A complete or comprehensive understanding of accounting practices and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (internal and external).

1. Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
2. Assist with verifying and perusing all payment vouchers, remittance, cash sheet, statement of account, etc.
3. Assist with the preparation and payment of private haulage.
4. Liaise with internal and external auditors.
5. Assist with developing and maintaining internal control and effective accounting system and policies.
6. Assist with VAT report.
7. Assist with the preparation of bank reconciliation and receivables reconciliation.
8. Create invoices.
9. Assist with posting vouchers/deposits for Store 1 & 2, goods in transit and Amazon purchases.
10. Assist with Audit queries.
11. Submit weekly/daily report/updates on accounts related issues (this includes, resolution and administrative matters that can have an impact on accounting).
12. Create team goals and evaluate employee progress, timely.
13. Monitor team performance against Company standards and department goals.
14. Develop and lead a strong, results-oriented team.
15. Define KPIs for the business unit and optimize the business along those key metrics.
16. Develop a culture that makes the company an employer of choice where employees love to work.
17. Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.
