Fortune Coastal Vessel – Operating between DEMERARA River and Essequibo River, Guyana

Employment Type:

Contract Employment (Six-month renewable contract)

STCW CERTIFICATION

Deck Operations

• Assist with daily deck operations and vessel movements.

• Perform mooring, anchoring, and line-handling duties.

• Assist with loading, unloading, and securing equipment/materials onboard.

• Conduct routine inspections of deck areas and equipment.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vessel.

Vessel Maintenance

• Perform basic maintenance activities including cleaning, painting, lubrication, and minor repairs.

• Assist with maintaining deck machinery and equipment.

• Report defects, damages, or safety concerns to the Captain or supervisor.

• Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored after use.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all vessel safety procedures and company policies.

• Participate in safety drills, emergency exercises, and toolbox meetings.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Maintain awareness of hazards and report unsafe conditions.

• Assist during emergency situations as instructed by the Captain.

General Marine Duties

• Support the Captain and crew with assigned operational tasks.

• Maintain proper housekeeping standards onboard.

• Assist other crew members when required.

• Follow instructions and communicate effectively with the onboard team.
