Cook/Cleaner

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing cooking, cleaning, and laundry services at the company’s interior bases in Kamarang and Olive Creek. The candidate will prepare a variety of meals, including baking bread, maintain kitchen and living areas in a clean and sanitary condition, and manage laundry duties. The successful candidate should be reliable, organized, and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards of food handling, hygiene, and safety. The role requires a willingness to work and reside in the interior for two (2) months per quarter.

• Valid Food Handler Certificate

• Basic education - Ability to read and write.

• Previous experience in cooking, housekeeping, cleaning, or a similar position.

• Proven ability to prepare a variety of meals and bake bread.

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

• Ability to perform laundry and general housekeeping duties.

• Ability and willingness to reside and work at interior locations for two (2) months per quarter.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Must be physically fit and capable of performing the duties associated with cooking, cleaning, and laundry.

• Prepare and cook daily meals for employees at the interior base.

• Plan and prepare a variety of nutritious and well-balanced meals suitable for different preferences.

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and other meals as required.

• Demonstrate the ability to bake fresh bread and other baked goods.

• Maintain proper food handling, preparation, storage, and hygiene standards at all times.

• Ensure the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas are kept clean and sanitary.

• Maintain an inventory of food and kitchen supplies and notify the appropriate person when supplies are low.

• Clean and maintain the living and common areas of the interior base.

• Perform laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and properly storing clothing, linens, towels, and other items.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining areas, and other assigned areas.

• Manage time effectively to ensure cooking, cleaning, and laundry duties are completed according to the operational needs of the base.

• Maintain a professional, respectful, and cooperative relationship with employees and other personnel at the interior base.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
