The Accounts Clerk is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring that all sales, customer payments, supplier invoices, expenses, cash transactions, and banking activities are accurately recorded and properly supported in QuickBooks. The position plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring accounts receivable and payable, and ensuring that vehicle and motorcycle inventory costs are correctly captured. The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for cash and bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable reviews, inventory and cost-of-sales verification, expense monitoring, and preparation of financial reports for management. The position is also responsible for maintaining complete and organized accounting documentation and identifying discrepancies, unusual transactions, or outstanding issues for management review.

High School Diploma with a pass in Mathematics, English and Principles of
Accounting, or an equivalent qualification, is required. A Certificate, Diploma, or
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field will be considered an asset.
CAT Level 1, ACCA Level 1, or similar accounting qualification.
Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks.
Record and maintain accurate daily sales, customer payments, supplier bills, expenses, cash receipts, bank deposits, and credit card transactions in QuickBooks.
Ensure customer payments are accurately allocated and maintain up-to-date Accounts Receivable records.
Monitor outstanding customer balances and support timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
Process approved payments and ensure all transactions are supported by complete and accurate documentation.
Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all accounting transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
Prepare and maintain daily cash summaries and reconcile cash collections with bank deposits.
Conduct regular reviews of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable balances and aging reports. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, cash on hand, and petty cash, and investigate discrepancies.
Accurately record and verify vehicle and motorcycle inventory costs, including purchase costs, freight, duties, taxes, repairs, preparation costs, and other direct costs.
Reconcile inventory records with physical inventory listings and assist in ensuring accurate Cost of Sales records.
Review and verify sales, expense, purchasing, and inventory transactions for accuracy and completeness. Identify duplicate, incorrect, unusual, or unsupported transactions and escalate discrepancies to management.
Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries and reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Sales, Expense, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable reports.
Complete month-end accounting procedures, including posting expenses, accruals, depreciation, adjustments, and other required transactions. Review outstanding customer deposits, down payments, loans, and liabilities for accuracy.
Maintain organized and accessible accounting records and ensure all financial documents are properly filed.
Support the month-end close process and prepare the required financial reporting package for management review.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
