Fleet & Asset Manager

We are seeking a responsible and organized Fleet & Asset Manager to oversee the company’s vehicles, equipment, and other assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, insured, licensed, and available for daily operations.

The position will also assist with the renewal and management of company and vehicle documents, maintain accurate records, coordinate repairs and maintenance, and ensure company assets are properly issued, tracked, and accounted for.

The Fleet & Asset Manager will work closely with other departments and will be involved in management meetings and decision-making relating to fleet, assets, operations, and other company matters.

The ideal candidate should be organized, responsible, able to work independently, have good administrative and record-keeping skills, and be capable of effectively managing multiple responsibilities.

• Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, or a related field would be an asset.

• Previous experience in fleet, asset, operations, logistics, or administrative management is preferred.

• Valid driver’s licence

• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic mechanical issues would be an asset.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

• Must be responsible, reliable, professional, and able to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to participate effectively in management discussions and decision-making.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle company information responsibly.

• Oversee and manage all company vehicles, equipment, and other assigned assets.

• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, inspected, and kept in good working condition.

• Schedule and coordinate vehicle repairs and servicing when required.

• Monitor vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.

• Ensure all vehicle licences, insurance, fitness certificates, and other required documents are renewed on time.

• Assist with the renewal and maintenance of company documents, licences, certificates, and registrations.

• Maintain accurate records for all company vehicles and assets.

• Monitor the issuance and return of company assets and ensure they are properly accounted for.

• Conduct regular checks of vehicles and other company assets.

• Report damages, misuse, loss, or other concerns relating to company property.

• Liaise with mechanics, suppliers, insurance companies, and other service providers when necessary.

• Assist with purchasing and sourcing vehicle parts, equipment, and other items when required.

• Participate in management meetings and assist with company decision-making.

• Provide reports and updates to management on fleet and asset matters.

• Perform basic administrative duties and maintain proper documentation and filing.

• Assist with other operational and administrative duties as required by management.
