Description

The Accounting and Administrative Officer assists the Brand Accountant in the preparation of timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support the decision making process. The incumbent must act with integrity and strictly adhere to all accounting policies, procedures and internal controls when executing the undermentioned duties.

Requirements

Professional Accounting designation (ACCA) - Level II or equivalent.
A first degree in Accounting/Finance or a related discipline from a recognized,
accredited institution will be considered an asset.
A minimum of three (3) years of similar working experience in an Accounting/Finance
department.
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with particular emphasis
on Word, Excel & Outlook.
Knowledge of general accounting practices.
Experience in Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable/Payroll/VAT/Corporation Tax
will be considered an asset.
Proficiency using accounting systems such as GP will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Post vendor invoices after matching to the appropriate purchase orders and GRNs.
Process and apply supplier payments accurately and on time.
Prepares and reviews monthly supplier reconciliations, identifying, investigating, and
resolving discrepancies.
Prepares and submits statutory filings and tax returns within established deadlines.
Ensures compliance with all applicable tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
Prepares bank reconciliation and researches and resolves discrepancies in a timely
manner.
Maintains fixed assets register ensuring assets are properly tagged and recorded.
Reconciles balance sheets accounts and researches and resolves discrepancies in
a timely manner.
Maintains complete and accurate schedules for accruals and prepayments.
Reviews and validates daily sales reports.
Performs administrative and supporting duties as required by the business.
