Description
Operate the CNC nesting machine safely and efficiently.
* Operate the sliding table saw for straight and angled cuts.
* Load and unload boards and sheet materials.
* Verify material type, thickness, colour, finish and grain direction.
* Review drawings, cutting lists and CNC programs before production.
* Operate Hixuan CNC software as required.
* Check CNC programs and nesting layouts before machining.
* Ensure the correct tools and cutters are installed.
* Check tooling for wear and damage.
* Set up the vacuum table and material positioning system.
* Conduct first-piece inspections before batch production.
* Measure finished components for accuracy.
* Ensure components meet specified dimensions and tolerances.
* Identify errors in drawings, cutting lists or CNC programs.
* Minimise material waste through accurate cutting and nesting.
* Label and organise complete components.
* Maintain production records.
* Perform routine machine cleaning and operator maintenance.
* Monitor dust extraction and machine safety systems.
* Report machine faults immediately.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area.
* Follow all company health and safety procedures.
* Meet production schedules and output targets.
* Work closely with the Kitchen Designer/CNC Nesting Programmer and Production Manager.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous CNC machine operating experience preferred.
* Previous woodworking or cabinetmaking experience advantageous.
* Experience operating a sliding table saw preferred.
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Good understanding of measurements.
* Basic computer skills.
* Good attention to detail.
* Strong commitment to safety.

Job Summary
The CNC & Sliding Table Saw Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Aura Manufacturing Inc.’s CNC nesting machine and sliding table saw for the production of kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, furniture, panels and other bespoke joinery products.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately cutting sheet materials according to approved drawings, cutting lists and CNC programs while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and productivity.
The CNC nesting machine is equipped with a maximum cutting area of approximately 2100 mm × 3000 mm, automatic loading and unloading, a 12-tool magazine, vacuum work table, automatic tool sensing and a 9 kW spindle.
