I.T. Technician

Laparkan Trading Limited, an established logistics provider, is seeking an experienced,  motivated and results oriented I.T. Technician to join our team in Georgetown, Guyana.

• Associate Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent technical certification.

• CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are preferred.

• 3–5 years' experience supporting computer hardware, software and network infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, routers, VPNs and computer troubleshooting.

• Very good communication, problem solving and customer service skills.

• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Willingness to travel 50–75% within Guyana.

• Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and other IT equipment.

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows OS, Microsoft Office and company applications.

• Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, VPN, routers, firewalls and network infrastructure.

• Maintain VoIP, telephone systems, barcode scanners and security devices.

• Assist with hardware repairs, software upgrades, preventive maintenance and equipment inventory.

• Support servers, antivirus, website maintenance and other IT projects as assigned.

• Train end users and provide prompt technical assistance across company locations.
