quirements

• Must have a strong command of the English Language.

• Must have 5 CSEC subjects with grades I to II in English and Literature. A university degree will be an asset.

• Computer Literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Highly motivated self-starter.

• Must be willing to work flexible hours.

• Media experience will be an asset.

• Monitor daily events locally, nationally and internationally and assist others to gather current events.

• Coordinate with news editor and fellow reporters to develop story ideas for report writing.

• Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story.

• Review and evaluate notes taken about events aspects In order to isolate pertinent facts and details.

• Research and analyze background information related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.

• Collaborate with news editor to improve story presentation.

• Attend daily editorial meetings and staff meetings to keep abreast of company policies and requirements.

• Discuss issues with editors in order to establish priorities and positions.
