quirements
Must have a strong command of the English Language.
Must have 5 CSEC subjects with grades I to II in English and Literature. A university degree will be an asset.
Computer Literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Highly motivated self-starter.
Must be willing to work flexible hours.
Media experience will be an asset.
Monitor daily events locally, nationally and internationally and assist others to gather current events.
Coordinate with news editor and fellow reporters to develop story ideas for report writing.
Arrange interviews with people who can provide information about a particular story.
Review and evaluate notes taken about events aspects In order to isolate pertinent facts and details.
Research and analyze background information related to stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information.
Collaborate with news editor to improve story presentation.
Attend daily editorial meetings and staff meetings to keep abreast of company policies and requirements.
Discuss issues with editors in order to establish priorities and positions.
