Description

Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) is seeking applications from interested persons with the requisite qualifications and experience, for the position of Dispatch Supervisor.

Requirements

  • A Diploma from a recognized University or CAT qualification.

  • Excellent communication, analytical and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Successful applicant must be willing to work shift and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily dispatch of delivery vehicles and ensure accuracy of outgoing loads.

  • Maintain timely and accurate updates within the company’s digital/financial systems.

  • Supervise frontline transactional staff to support efficient daily operations, including oversight of cash handling and reimbursements.

  • Prepare routine operational reports.

  • Update workforce management systems on a scheduled basis.

  • Manage the fleet of delivery trucks, ensuring efficient routing, vehicle availability, and maintenance.

  • Supervise the dispatch team, including scheduling, performance management, and ensuring adequate staffing.
