Description

The Sales Lead is responsible for driving sales growth, supervising sales team, managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the achievement of the company's sales targets. The role requires regular travel to customer locations, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and developing new accounts within the assigned territory.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is an asset.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales, preferably within a distribution, wholesale, or FMCG environment.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Experience in business development and account management.

  • Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

    • Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Strong customer service orientation.

    • Good organizational and time management skills.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    • Experience using CRM software is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand the customer base.

  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

  • Conduct regular customer visits to promote products and services.

  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing within company guidelines, and close sales.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

  • Ensure excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving issues.

  • Coordinate with the warehouse, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery of products.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline opportunities.

  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.

  • Participate in promotional activities, product launches, and trade events as required.

  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding customer payments in accordance with company policies.

  • Supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
