Currently pursuing accounting education/training ( CAT or ACCA)
Experience with spreadsheets and financial reports ( Ms Excel skills)
2 years work experience in Accounting
Experience with accounting software QuickBooks
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
Supports accounting operations by filing documents, reconciling statements and maintaining data within the financial/accounting system
Reconcile GL accounts in a timely manner
Posting financial transactions and preparing payments
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
Prepare debtor invoices and aging reports
Process creditor invoices and prepare aging reports
Prepare information for VAT filing
Prepare payroll calculations and payments
Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation schedules
Reconcile related party transactions on monthly basis and prepare settlements
Assist during compilation and audit of financial statements
Assist with Monthly finance reports ( retrieving data from quick books and updating existing table Formats
Assist manager with any other accounting related functions
