Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for a variety of accounting and administrative tasks related to the accounts payable function, including processing vendor invoices, tracking purchase orders, and managing payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

·         Currently pursuing CAT/FIA or a similar accounting certification

·         Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

·         Experience with accounting software is an asset

·         Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         High level of accuracy and attention to detail

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

·         Excellent time management and organizational skills

Responsibilities

·         Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices according to company guidance

·         Perform data entry associated with accounts payable

·         Ensure purchase orders match the final invoice from supplier

·         Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies

·         Verify the accuracy of invoice details, resolving any discrepancies before processing

·         Maintain updated accounts payable files and records.

·         Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues promptly.

·         Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and external regulations.

·         Assist with month-end closing and the preparation of financial reports

·         Liaise with vendors to address inquiries regarding payment status and discrepancies.

·         Collaborate with team members across departments to support financial operations.
