Description

Total Care Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Technologist to join our growing healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease while ensuring the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

  • Registered and licensed (where applicable) to practice as a Medical Technologist.

  • Previous laboratory experience is an asset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in laboratory information systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in accordance with established protocols.

  • Collect, process, analyze, and report patient specimens accurately and efficiently.

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.

  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and documented.

  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and patient confidentiality.

  • Adhere to all laboratory safety standards and infection prevention protocols.

  • Assist with inventory management of laboratory supplies and reagents.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding test results when required.

  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
