Female Tutor Needed

Job Description

Are you an outstanding student, recent high school graduate, or university student with a passion for teaching and mentoring? We are seeking a motivated, high-achieving female tutor to provide one-on-one academic support to a high school student.

This part-time opportunity begins in July and August, with the possibility of continuing during the school term if it is a good fit.

Tutoring sessions will be held at mutually agreed times and may take place at either the student's home or the tutor's location, provided it is safe and conducive to learning.

• Recent high school graduate with an excellent academic record, or a current university student.

• Strong academic performance, particularly in Mathematics, Sciences, English, French, and Spanish.

• Good knowledge of the Ministry of Education curriculum.

• Excellent communication and teaching skills.

• Reliable, patient, firm, and results-oriented.

Preferred

• Previous tutoring or mentoring experience.

• Passion for helping achieve academic success.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide engaging one-on-one tutoring sessions.

• Explain and reinforce concepts.

• Review classwork and revisit topics to strengthen understanding.

• Help develop effective study habits, confidence, and examination skills.

• Prepare simple practice activities and review homework where appropriate.

• Monitor the student's progress and provide feedback on areas that need improvement.

• Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging learning environment.

• Attend sessions on time and communicate promptly regarding any scheduling changes.
