As the visiting officer for the guarding department, you will be responsible for ensuring that the security operations of our client's facilities are carried out in a professional, efficient and effective manner.
You will provide support, guidance and training to security personnel, monitor and evaluate their performance and unsure that all security procedures and policies are followed.
High school diploma or equivalent
proven experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory role
Good physical condition and able to perform security duties, such as standing and walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft office
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Responsible for the supervision of designated security officers on the shift
Provide reports and recommendations to the senior supervisor on all aspect of the day-to-day operations inclusive of work performance, absenteeism, complaints, discipline, assignment instruction and punctuality.
Ensure that the standard of professionalism, alertness and personal deportment of yourself and officers within your area of responsibly are maintained at the highest level
Ensure that the security coverage, manpower and material requirements on the shifts are maintained at the levels required. Any discrepancies should be reported immediately to your immediate duty officer.
Assist at any assignment where operational assistance is required
Ensure that replacements are properly briefed on specific site assignment instructions and that the client is aware of the replacement
Ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with the assignment instructions for the site and that all shift members are fully briefed and familiar with same.
Ensure posts are covered by guards specifically trained for the site
Ensure all reports, forms, registers, notice, permits, rain gear, other equipment and passes required on the site are kept safely and are maintained
Ensure the stores, equipment and uniform issued on loan to you and your officers are properly accounted for and kept safely and submit a monthly location inventory for all location under your command.
Meet with clients in order to ascertain the level of service/ performance provided by the guards and company and submit a written report of all such meetings to the senior supervisor immediately after all such meetings.
Ensure ranks are issued with time sheets on a weekly basis (every Friday) and their completed time sheets are submitted on Sunday at 12:00 hours.
Perform such other duties as may be required from time to time
