Accounts Receivable Clerk

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent communication skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.

• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role.

• Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.

• Generate and process accurate and timely customer invoices

• Verify transaction information, including pricing and discounts.

• Perform cashier functions in the absence of the primary cashier.

• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure payments are applied correctly.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to receivables.

• Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Communicate with customers to facilitate timely payments and resolve payment discrepancies.

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of customer transactions.

• Archive and file documentation for auditing and reference purposes.

• Collaborate with the finance team to provide insights into financial performance.

• Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance the overall customer experience.
