Handyman

The Handyman will be responsible for performing general maintenance, repairs, and minor installations to ensure that facilities, equipment, and property are kept in good working condition. This role requires practical skills, flexibility, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

• Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a skilled trade (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

• Practical knowledge of basic repair techniques, tools, and equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• Good physical condition, with the ability to lift, bend, and work in different environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Trustworthy, reliable, and respectful when working in homes or workplaces.

• Basic literacy and numeracy; trade certification is an asset but not required.

  Work may involve both indoor and outdoor environments.

• May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on the nature of the tasks.

• Occasional travel to multiple sites may be required.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and property.

• Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks.

• Fix broken fixtures, fittings, and furniture as needed.

• Assist with installations and assembly of equipment, appliances, or furniture.

• Conduct inspections to identify issues requiring attention and report major problems to management.

• Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and safely stored.

• Perform outdoor maintenance tasks, such as minor landscaping, cleaning drains, and repairing walkways (if required).

• Respond to urgent repair requests in a timely and professional manner.

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies while on duty.
