Minimum of five (5) CXC subjects, including Mathematics and English Language (Grades 1-3).
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position, of which two (2) must be in a supervisory capacity.
Core Competencies:
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literacy will be an asset.
Knowledge of Terminal Operations would be an asset.
Mechanical Equipment Operation would be an asset.
The incumbent will be responsible for supervising teams, ensuring safety, managing resources, and coordinating tasks to ensure the successful completion of work.

On 26th May 1976, when the Guyana Government acquired the holdings of Booker McConnell & Co. Ltd. in Guyana, the entity was renamed “GUYANA NATIONAL SHIPPING CORPORATION LTD.”. The company has successfully traded successfully under this name up to the present.
The Company’s major role in the shipping industry is the provision of related quality services to shipowners, operators, and other customers, locally and internationally. Some of the services provided by the Corporation are: Shipping Agency, Customs Brokerage, Terminal Operations, Stevedoring, Transportation Services, Local and Inter-Regional Shipping, Marine Insurance (Ship and Cargo Surveys, Claims, etc.) and Warehouse and Office Space Rental.
