Description

JSB Investments Inc is seeking a structured, proactive, and results-driven Training Officer to lead workforce development across the Group.

This role is critical to strengthening our operational systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for onboarding new employees, implementing and maintaining training SOPs, managing certification programs for management and base staff, and developing new training initiatives to improve productivity, compliance, and performance.

The Training Officer will ensure that our people are aligned with company standards, systems, and culture across construction, mining, logistics, and administrative operations.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field (preferred)

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in training, HR, or workforce development

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Experience developing SOPs and structured systems

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives

Experience in construction, mining, logistics, or industrial environments would be an asset.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Orientation

  • Develop and manage structured onboarding programs for all new hires

  • Ensure new employees understand company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures

  • Track probation progress and onboarding performance metrics

Training Systems & SOP Implementation

  • Develop, document, and maintain training Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Ensure all departments are trained according to approved company systems

  • Audit adherence to SOPs and identify retraining needs

Certification & Compliance

  • Manage internal and external certification programs

  • Track expiry dates for licenses, safety certifications, and compliance training

  • Coordinate training with external providers when necessary

Management Development

  • Design leadership and supervisory training programs

  • Support development of performance management training

  • Build structured learning pathways for career progression

Program Development

  • Identify skill gaps within the organization

  • Develop new technical and soft-skill training programs

  • Implement productivity and systems-based training initiatives

Performance & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate training records

  • Track training KPIs and report to management

  • Recommend improvements to strengthen workforce efficiency
