Driver

MAEC is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, and materials as required by company operations. The Driver will ensure vehicles are well-maintained, adhere to all traffic and company safety regulations, and represent MAEC in a professional manner at all times.

• Valid Driver’s License appropriate to the vehicle type (e.g., Car/Van/Truck).

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ driving experience, preferably in a corporate or logistics environment.

• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.

• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when necessary.

• Familiarity with road networks and locations across Guyana is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport staff, materials, and equipment between project sites, offices, and other destinations.

• Ensure that vehicles are regularly cleaned, fueled, and maintained in proper working condition.

• Conduct routine inspections before and after each trip to identify any mechanical issues.

• Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.

• Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.

• Assist with loading and unloading goods or materials when required.

• Report any accidents, damages, or maintenance concerns promptly to the supervisor.

• Provide courteous and professional service to all staff, clients, and stakeholders.
