Office air condition environment for at least 80% of the time. Hazards are generally low except for VDU screen radiation which affects eyes severely.

Most time involved in moving, reading, writing and driving to effect repairs to equipment and execute changes.
AVAILABILITIES
Available 24/7 to respond to network or customer outages, ability to work nights, weekends and holidays to provide high availability of services as required.
TRAVEL
Be able to travel out of town as required to support data network expansion, failures or customer issues but not limited to.

Assist in reviewing and analyzing system performance in order to recommend changes/updates
Provide field support necessary to troubleshoot and repair faults for B2B services (Data Services, E1, LAN/WAN, SIP Interfaces, etc.) within SLA.
Provide field support in the event of system impairments in any of One Network POPS and related to failures in the fixed data network and mobile IP backbone equipment located in our POPS.
Install new hardware/software when necessary and using established change procedures and SOPs in One POPs necessary for service extension, or expansions related to data services or mobile IP backbone.
Interface with the equipment manufacturer for upgrading/fault analysis/system modifications in Fixed data and Mobile networks.
Responsible for the maintenance of data equipment and mobile IP backbone equipment located in One POPS. This scope includes but is not limited to:
Ensuring equipment SW baselines are UpToDate
Ensuring physical environment meets the operating standards of installed equipment.
Responding to alarms on equipment under your control and leading corrective measures.
Provide field support necessary for the deployment of even WIFI services as requested by Brava and the wider One business.
Provide the field support necessary to support changing operations conducted by other departments. This field support may include and not be limited to:
One site verification during a change activity.
Physical/SW changes at POPS that may be required by a change activity.
Assist in the analysis of system failures in order to maintain an adequate inventory of spares
Provide support to other departments as pertaining to information reporting.
Assist in the training of staff in order to improve the quality and quantity of their output.
Assist the installation and support process for B2B Services.
Assist in reporting weekly and monthly network changes, outages, and performance.
