The Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, guests, and visitors. This role involves general cleaning, minor maintenance, waste management, and assisting with the overall upkeep of the premises. The ideal candidate is reliable, initiative-taking, and attentive to detail, ensuring that the facility always remains in excellent condition.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or porter work is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and time management.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina to lift, move, and clean for extended periods.
Clean and maintain common areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.
Empty trash and recycling bins, ensuring waste is disposed of properly.
Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
Perform light maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs).
Assist with event setup, furniture movement, and deliveries.
Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to the supervisor.
Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are used safely and maintained properly.
Support other facility operations as directed by management.
