We are seeking an experienced Boom Pump Operator to join our team in Georgetown. The role involves safely driving, setting up, and operating concrete boom pump trucks, ensuring accurate placement and smooth on-site coordination with the crew. Responsibilities include equipment inspection, routine maintenance, minor repairs, and thorough cleaning after each job. Candidates must have 10+ years of pump operating experience, a valid CDL, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in diverse teams. Physical fitness and strict adherence to safety protocols are essential. Experience: Previous 10years experience in operating a concrete pump
Education: Any Degree
Mechanical aptitude: The ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues is essential.
Licensing: A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required to operate boom pump trucks.
Physical fitness: Must be able to lift to 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions and environments.
Attention to detail: The ability to operate the boom with precision and ensure accurate concrete placement.
Communication: Strong verbal communication skills are necessary to coordinate effectively with the rest of the construction crew.
Safety awareness: A thorough understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work in potentially hazardous conditions.
On-site operations
Drive a concrete boom pump truck to and from job sites in a safe and conscientious manner.
Inspect the work site to ensure the pump truck is placed on solid, level ground away from potential hazards like power lines, buildings, and steep slopes.
Set up the pump by extending the outriggers to stabilize the vehicle.
Connect the pump's pipeline and hoses to the concrete delivery truck and direct the flow of concrete to the desired location.
Maneuver the boom with a remote control, communicating clearly with the site supervisor, concrete mixer truck driver, and ground crew throughout the pour.
Flexible depending on working hours
Monitor equipment gauges and the pour to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Clean the pump, hopper, and system thoroughly after the job is complete.
Equipment, maintenance and safety
Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and lubricating parts.
Troubleshoot and perform minor mechanical repairs to pumps.
Follow all safety procedures, including those outlined by the manufacturer and government agencies.
Report any unsafe job site conditions or equipment malfunctions to management immediately.
Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as a hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, and steel-toed boots.
Administration and customer service
Maintain an accurate log of time worked, equipment inspections, and maintenance forms.
Maintain positive and professional customer relationships on behalf of the company.
