Job Description

We are looking for a Recruitment and Onboarding Officer (ROO) to help us find and manage the people who work with our company—such as welders, mechanics, drivers, cleaners, painters, laborers, and office staff. This person will help hire the right people, make sure they are properly introduced to our company, and follow up to see if they are doing their jobs well.

You will also help us organize who is working as permanent, contract, or temporary staff. We often have to find people quickly and place them on short notice, so we need someone who can act fast, keep good records, and communicate well.

We are willing to train the right person from the ground up. However, you must be:

  • Honest and trustworthy

  • Willing to learn

  • Good with computers (basic typing, emails, forms)

  • Able to think clearly and solve simple problems logically

Responsibilities

Main Duties

  • Keep a list (database) of people who are available to work in different roles

  • Help advertise job openings and find people when the company needs them.

  • Meet and talk to new applicants to check their skills and attitude

  • Help decide if someone should be hired as temporary, contract, or permanent

  • Make sure new workers understand the company rules, who they report to, how they get paid, and what is expected of them

  • Help set simple goals (KPI) for new workers and share this with the supervisor

  • Follow up with workers and their supervisors to see if the person is doing well or having issues

  • Track lateness, early leave, or people not showing up, and report this to management

  • Help replace workers who do not show up or perform well

  • Give updates to management about new hires and who is doing well or not
