This role is multi-faceted, liaising with all departments to capture key internal operational protocols and synergize them with client specific goals and objectives. It requires a resourceful, well-rounded personality who is able to take initiative and efficiently utilize his/her skills and network to complete tasks and assignments, push Business Development initiatives and generate insightful reporting for all stakeholders.
3+ years’ experience in an operations role encompassing Logistics, Client Relations, Crew Change Management and Process Development.
A degree or diploma in a related area of study would be advantageous
Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry inclusive of Local Content guidelines is desired
Valid driver’s license
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to create and deliver company presentations and speak publicly
Efficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, email and CRM platforms such as Monday CRM (must be trainable)
Resourceful and well-networked locally
The Operations Coordinator will provide top-tier support to the company, its clients and other stakeholders in all aspects of operations (Logistics, Recruitment and Business Development).
Work closely with Operations Team to understudy and receive knowledge applicable to tasks and responsibilities for long term succession planning within the robust oil and gas sector of Guyana. This includes the Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) and other related international frameworks.
Maintain a strong focus on quality control, ensuring compliance, with industry standards and regulations including Local Content Compliance, training and recertification efforts
Play an active role with emergency response planning and execution.
Will be required to rotate emergency on-call mobile phone with other personnel.
Will be required to perform site visits to clients, ports, shore bases and other facilities related to Oil and Gas.
Develop and implement efficient operational processes and procedures to optimize productivity.
Collaborate with Operations team to streamline processes, and efficiency, to resolve operational challenges.
Provide support for in-country initiatives related to local content reporting, annual audits and recertification.
Support the Operations team by attending meetings in-person and online as needed.
Knowledge or previous experience dealing with Visa & Immigration entry and exit protocols, especially applicable to seafarers/offshore workers is an advantage
Generate operational progress reports and forecasts on a weekly or monthly basis.
