Description

A Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the entire procurement process, from identifying and selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. They play a crucial role in optimizing costs, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the organization's overall business objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proven experience in Procurement.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Supplier Management: Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers based on factors such as quality, price, and delivery time.

  • Purchase Order Processing: Creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders to initiate procurement activities.

  • Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, placing replenishment orders, and managing surplus or obsolete stock.

  • Cost Analysis: Analyzing procurement costs and identifying opportunities for cost reduction or savings.

  • Reporting: Preparing and analyzing procurement reports to provide insights into procurement performance and identify areas for improvement.
