Assist in the procurement of goods and services for construction projects and heavy equipment.
Applicants Must:
Be a holder of a High School Diploma, with experience in material procurement or in a related field;
Have excellent negotiation and communication skills;
Have strong organizational and time management skills;
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel;
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Be detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Principle Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Procurement
Identify and source materials that meet price and quality constraints;
Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, ensuring the best value;
Place and track orders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy;
Manage supplier relationships, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing;
Stay informed about purchasing trends, availability and price fluctuations;
Conduct market research.
Administrative Support
Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders, invoices and other procurement documents;
Maintain supplier databases and records;
Support the procurement team in the implementation of cost-saving initiatives.
