Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Supervisor to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. The Construction Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for safety and detail.

Requirements

  1. A Technical Certificate and or Diploma in civil engineering or related field or on the job experience for at least 10 years.

  2. At least 5 years working in construction with a supervisory role.

  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications.

  6. Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.

  7. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.

  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  9. Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of construction crews on-site.

  • Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to the project schedule.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper safety equipment and procedures.

  • Inspect construction work to ensure it meets project specifications, local codes, and quality standards.

  • Lead team meetings and ensure clear communication of project expectations to crew members.

  • Coordinate the delivery and management of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the project.

  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, completed work, and any delays or issues encountered.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to report on progress and address concerns.

  • Ensure proper documentation of work completed for compliance and warranty purposes.

  • Perform safety audits and inspections regularly to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Provide training and mentorship to construction workers and laborers
