Description

The ideal candidate would be responsible for providing IT support to our client in the Oil & Gas sector by performing a variety of professional, technical and analytical duties for the operation of enterprise, client, server and desktop computer systems and networks. This role is a contract-based appointment, with likely renewals annually based on performance and capacity needs.

Requirements

  • Degree, diploma in a related IT field would be an asset

  • Additional certifications in IT, systems administration, hardware or software is advantageous

  • Familiarity with IT processes such as peripheral configuration, software installation and antivirus management

  • Additional skills such as crimping, cable work etc. will be advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Detects, analyses and applies corrective measures to technical problems and systems deficiencies

  • Configures, installs and manages the distribution of computer software for enterprise and desktop functions

  • Installs, configures and logs hardware devices issued to employees. Integrates as necessary with network infrastructure

  • Manages logging, issuing and movement of IT equipment internally

  • Applies network upgrades, updates and other software patches periodically as scheduled

  • Collects, analyzes and reports on system data, usage, network performance and other KPIs as outlined

  • Other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
