NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
The Senior Accounts Clerk performs a variety of accounting and data entry, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. Additionally, she/he provides accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department; this involves typing accurately and preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1+ years of related work experience.
Level 1 CAT/FIA.
Excellent computer and administrative skills.
5 successful passes or more at CSEC or equivalent.
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online/Desktop & Microsoft Excel
Experience with an external audit firm is a requirement for this role.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Daily entering data of financial transactions in the database
Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
Maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
Preparing pay statements.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
Any other assigned tasks.
