The incumbent will be responsible for promoting all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment throughout the company whilst ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
Tertiary Level Education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or other relevant disciplines
Minimum of two (2) years experience in HSE
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ensure that risk assessments are developed and kept up-to-date on the various tasks and workshops in the company
Provide input into the development, implementation, and management of HSE Management Systems for all company sites and other sites as necessary
Monitor HSE performance and compliance, and identify trends, as well as implement best practices in health & safety
Investigate accidents, incidents and near-miss situations; assess their root cause and implement corrective action
Perform regular safety audits on all departments and locations and prepare reports
Give safety briefings and toolbox talks as necessary and train other employees at each location to present the same
Plan and coordinate emergency drills and ensure that contingency plans are updated and circulated to all locations
