The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of customers, employees, and assets and inventory of Futurecare Pharmacy. This includes preventing theft, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a visible security presence to deter shoplifting.
Education & Qualifications
Minimum GCE/CXC/CSEC passes in Mathematics and English.
A valid police clearance.
At least 3 years’ previous experience working in a similar capacity.
Knowledge & Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong attention to detail.
High level of integrity and compassion
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including extended days, holidays, evenings, and weekend hours.
Ability to work in a start-up environment.
This position is “hands on” and includes but not limited to the following essential duties:
Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems to detect and prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
Conduct regular patrols of the retail area to ensure all inventory are secure.
Assist customers and staff with security concerns or issues.
Collaborate with store management to implement and improve loss prevention strategies.
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and natural disasters.
Control access to restricted areas within the pharmacy.
Document and report all security incidents, accidents, and irregularities.
Participate in ongoing training programs related to security and loss prevention.
Stay updated on best practices and new security technologies.
Any other duties which may be assigned.
