Description

The Wells Materials Planner will play a crucial role in the Guyana Wells Team. The individual will contribute to the success of the team by facilitating long-term inventory planning, ordering, follow-up, troubleshooting, reporting, and material disposition. The position requires an analytical and innovative mindset, with attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration with all stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Degree in Chain Management

  • Work experience in drilling and completions operations, as well as inventory management

  • Good Communication Skills

  • Analytical and Data Visualization skills: strong ability to analyze data, identify gaps and exposures, and present findings and recommendations in a visually effective manner.

  • Technical Knowledge: some understanding of drilling and completions equipment would be an asset.

  • Problem-Solving

  • Collaboration and Communication: ability to effectively work with a large group of engineers and persons from other disciplines, across multiple international work groups, to meet the inventory needs of the Wells team.

  • Attention to Detail: strong ability to correctly characterize inventory levels and to identify issues with accuracy.

     

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory management system by forecasting material consumption, tracking said consumption, identifying the need to re-order, and staying on top of expected delivery dates.

  • Identify the need for contractual amendments to support the procurement of new materials.

  • Seek required control approvals for equipment purchases.

  • Seek required Local Content Act approval for equipment purchases.

  • Coordinate logistics where required with service providers and EM Supply Chain

  • Respond to ad hoc inventory management requests from the Wells team.

  • Utilize the inventory management system to model rig schedule execution sensitivities (i.e., testing the ability to deliver rig schedule variations based on expected inventory levels)

  • Work with the Wells team to complete annual inventory-level reporting processes

  • Coordinate planning efforts across EM, Supplier, and OEM when material going to OEM sites for services to maintain material delivery timeline (e.g. threading material, extension joints for wellheads)
