Job Summary: 

Rigger 2 will support the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of mobile cellular infrastructure, including antennas, towers, and associated equipment. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience in rigging operations under the supervision of experienced riggers and field engineers.

Requirements

ducation & Experience: 

  • High school diploma or technical/vocational training in telecommunications, electrical, or mechanical fields.

  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.

  • Basic understanding of mechanical tools and electrical safety.

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Valid driver’s license (preferred).

  • No fear of heights and ability to pass a tower climbing certification (if required).

Desirable Skills (Optional but Advantageous): 

  • Familiarity with telecom equipment and infrastructure.

  • Basic knowledge of RF principles and cellular networks.

  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and rigging gear.

  • First Aid or OSHA safety training certification.

Working Conditions:

  • Field-based role with frequent travel to cell sites.

  • Exposure to varying weather conditions.

  • Work at heights on towers and rooftops.

  • May require weekend or after-hours work depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the installation and alignment of antennas, microwave dishes, and other telecom equipment on towers, rooftops, and poles.

  • Support rigging teams in lifting, hoisting, and securing equipment using ropes, pulleys, and cranes.

  • Learn and follow safety protocols for working at heights and handling heavy equipment.

  • Participate in site surveys and prepare basic reports on site conditions and equipment status.

  • Help with cable routing, grounding, and weatherproofing of telecom installations.

  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure proper storage.

  • Assist in dismantling and removing obsolete or damaged equipment.

  • Document work performed and report any issues or hazards to the supervisor.

  • Attend training sessions and complete certifications as required.
