Job Summary:
Rigger 2 will support the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of mobile cellular infrastructure, including antennas, towers, and associated equipment. This role is designed to provide hands-on training and experience in rigging operations under the supervision of experienced riggers and field engineers.
ducation & Experience:
High school diploma or technical/vocational training in telecommunications, electrical, or mechanical fields.
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
Basic understanding of mechanical tools and electrical safety.
Willingness to learn and follow instructions closely.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license (preferred).
No fear of heights and ability to pass a tower climbing certification (if required).
Desirable Skills (Optional but Advantageous):
Familiarity with telecom equipment and infrastructure.
Basic knowledge of RF principles and cellular networks.
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and rigging gear.
First Aid or OSHA safety training certification.
Working Conditions:
Field-based role with frequent travel to cell sites.
Exposure to varying weather conditions.
Work at heights on towers and rooftops.
May require weekend or after-hours work depending on project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation and alignment of antennas, microwave dishes, and other telecom equipment on towers, rooftops, and poles.
Support rigging teams in lifting, hoisting, and securing equipment using ropes, pulleys, and cranes.
Learn and follow safety protocols for working at heights and handling heavy equipment.
Participate in site surveys and prepare basic reports on site conditions and equipment status.
Help with cable routing, grounding, and weatherproofing of telecom installations.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure proper storage.
Assist in dismantling and removing obsolete or damaged equipment.
Document work performed and report any issues or hazards to the supervisor.
Attend training sessions and complete certifications as required.
